The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our Lifecycle Conversion team. In this role, you will turn free Grammarly users into paying customers, using experimentation, data-driven personalization, and AI decisioning to deliver relevant, 1:1 upsell experiences at scale.

Our team drives millions of dollars in directly attributable revenue every year. You will market to 40M+ users, with rich behavioral and product-usage data to personalize against, and work in one of the most widely recognized lifecycle programs in tech. You will sit on a well-resourced team with direct access to Marketing Operations, Data Science, Brand, and Creative resources.

In this role, you will:

- Drive net new bookings from the free Grammarly audience. Build and run programs that convert free users into paying customers. Match each offer lever (discounts, free trials, suite purchases, full-price upgrades) to the users it converts best.
- Run an experimentation roadmap. Build and maintain a forward-looking roadmap of experiments tied to measurable business outcomes. Run each one with a clear hypothesis, proper sizing, and holdouts.
- Shape channel strategy. Help define the conversion team’s strategy across email, in-product messaging, and push.
- Own AI decisioning. Partner with Dillon and our vendor, Hightouch, to drive incremental revenue through personalized 1:1 upsell experiences at scale.
- Personalize with data. Use behavioral, product-usage, and lifecycle data to design upsell programs that feel relevant and useful.
- Lead international and multilingual growth. Be the DRI for internationalization growth efforts, partnering with the Internationalization team on growth outside the US and among multilingual users, including non-native English speakers in the US.
- Help grow cross-product monetization. Help drive adoption and upgrades across the Superhuman suite (Grammarly, Go, Coda, Mail).

Qualifications

You are a strong fit if you have:

- 4+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing at a freemium or PLG subscription company, with a record of driving incremental revenue.
- Hands-on experience running statistically sound A/B tests using power analyses, holdouts, and other best practices. A track record of identifying business opportunities, running experiments to influence the metrics, then analyzing results to make a business decision.
- A record of hands-on building of lifecycle programs, with measurable impact on business metrics beyond channel metrics, such as retention, LTV, and revenue.
- Deep knowledge of email and in-product messaging, and working knowledge of push.
- Fluency with data: you run your own analyses to build a business case or size an opportunity.
- Experience with modern marketing tools (Braze, Hightouch, Iterable) and familiarity with supplementary tools like Statsig, Databricks, and Figma.
- Clear, concise writing and comfort leading cross-functional partners you don’t manage.
- Experience using AI to improve your workflow.

Bonus points:

- Experience running AI decisioning, generative copy, or dynamic content programs.
