About this role

About The CAM Collective:

The CAM Collective is a growing platform of community association management companies. We partner with strong operators and provide shared services, capital, and strategic infrastructure so Member Companies can scale without losing local expertise or service quality.

Acquisition is core to our growth strategy — both new Member Companies and tuck‑ins to existing ones. CAM is the core of our platform today, and we are actively expanding into adjacent verticals such as residential rental and other related businesses.

About CommunityGPO:

CommunityGPO is the group purchasing organization (GPO) of The CAM Collective (TCC), a national network of community association management (CAM) companies. CommunityGPO uses the combined scale of TCC's Member Companies (MCs) to secure better pricing, terms, and service through a standardized national vendor network.

The Role:

Reporting to Marc McCoy, Director of Services, you'll own CommunityGPO's national preferred vendor program end to end: vendor selection, MSA negotiation, rollout to Member Companies, and the revenue and margin results. You'll also lead the Regional Preferred Vendor Managers who execute the program in local markets.

Location: Hybrid – Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

- Select, vet, and onboard national vendor partners across categories including trash removal, utilities, maintenance, and professional services
- Negotiate master service agreements (MSAs) that leverage the collective's national scale for favorable pricing and terms
- Own national revenue and margin targets for the preferred vendor program; analyze participation and margin by category and take corrective action on underperformers
- Analyze MC client financials and market trends to identify new national revenue opportunities
- Build and maintain the National Vendor Playbook (standardized onboarding, SLA, and performance protocols), working with internal and offshore teams to reduce administrative friction
- Lead, coach, and review Regional Preferred Vendor Managers, aligning regional execution with national strategy
- Serve as primary contact for strategic national vendors and high-level escalations; enforce SLA and quality compliance
- Educate MC leadership on the program's value and deliver monthly reporting and insights to the Director of Services and executive leadership

Requirements

- 5+ years in vendor management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor partnerships, including national or multi-market programs
- Demonstrated experience negotiating master service agreements or national vendor contracts
- Experience owning revenue and/or margin targets for a vendor, partnership, or purchasing program
- 3-5 years of people leadership, including managing managers or regional leads
- Strong financial analysis skills: participation, margin, and category performance analysis [add specific tools/systems if required]
- Experience building standardized playbooks, SLAs, and performance reporting across distributed teams

Nice to Have:

- Experience in community association management, property management, multifamily, or facilities services
- Experience with a group purchasing organization (GPO) or member-based buying program
- Experience working with offshore teams

Benefits

- $125,000 base salary
- Bonus tied to successful completion of quarterly goals
- Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, 401k, Unlimited PTO
