Ready to Make a Splash?

All applicants must successfully complete a basic lifeguard skills assessment, including:

- A 150-yard swim, 2-minute tread, and 50-yard swim sequence.
- American Red Cross lifeguarding rescue skills and demonstrations.

Pay: $20 per hour

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.

What You’ll Do

- Keep swimmers safe by actively monitoring the pool and surrounding aquatic areas.
- Help maintain a welcoming environment by explaining and enforcing pool rules.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies.
- Perform routine pool chemical testing to help maintain safe water conditions.
- Participate in required staff meetings and training sessions.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service to patrons of all ages.
- Support the aquatics team with additional duties as needed.

What You’ll Need

- Must be at least 15 years old .
- Hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification .
- Meet HealthFitness fitness and skill standards.
- Be dependable, attentive, and ready to work as part of a team.
- Have a positive attitude and strong people skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patrons of all ages.

Compensation: $18 - $20/hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.  We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive wage within the market.
