How Your Days Flow
Your day is structured around clear, time-sensitive counsel: you shift between scheduled leadership meetings and focused blocks for drafting, review, and legal analysis. You may start with agenda prep and real-time guidance during a Council or executive discussion, then move to refining ordinance language, aligning contract terms with City objectives, or pressure-testing development proposals for legal exposure. Throughout the day you triage incoming issues—claims, employment questions, records requests—setting priorities and communicating concise options. You also maintain steady coordination with the prosecutor and outside counsel, tracking matter status and costs, and closing the loop with departments so guidance is understood, documented, and implemented.
