Automotive Technician

Job title: AV Technician II
Duration: 12 months (possible extension)
Pay Rate: $40/hr on W2
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Work Arrangement: Fully onsite

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose sensor faults, wiring/harness issues, connectivity problems, and calibration failures.
- Replace approved hardware components and perform validation checks.
- Use Linux CLI to review logs, troubleshoot system issues, run diagnostic scripts, and provision software/firmware.
- Monitor alerts, resolve escalated issues, document findings, and restore vehicles to service.
- Coordinate with engineering teams and escalate complex or undocumented issues.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in hardware maintenance, electronics troubleshooting, automotive electronics, robotics, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Linux commands and troubleshooting.
- Experience with sensors, wiring, connectors, or hardware diagnostics.
- Valid driver's license and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Ability to work onsite and lift up to 40 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with autonomous vehicles (AV), ADAS, robotics, or vehicle networks.
- Familiarity with automotive Ethernet, FAKRA connectors, or wiring harnesses.
