Job Overview
We are hiring a dependable Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient areas, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
- Empty trash and dispose of waste according to hospital procedures.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including door handles and counters.
- Restock paper products, soap, and other cleaning supplies.
- Follow hospital sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
- Properly handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report maintenance issues, spills, or safety hazards.
- Perform other cleaning duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Healthcare cleaning experience is a plus.
Pay Rate: $13–$14 per hour
