About this role

In our ‘always on’ world, we believe it’s essential to have a genuine connection with the work you do.

Base in Suzhou, China and focusing on high precision fiber connector and assembly products manufacturing, reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have end-to-end process control for our optical connector/assembly production line, lead NPI locally, drive yield and efficiency improvements, and ensure all manufacturing workflows meet CommScope standards. This role is a core technical leadership position bridging global R&D/NPI, production floor execution and quality assurance teams.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

- Core Process & Performance Enhancement. Take full charge of the NPI and continuous optimization of critical processes across the full manufacturing workflow for fiber optic connectors and fiber assemblies. Through professional methodologies including DOE and SPC, you will resolve bottlenecks in the production process, driving the line’s first pass yield and OEE.

- Full rollout of New Product Mass Production. Deeply participate in the pre-development phase of new products from the global R&D team. Lead the full-process conversion of new products from the NPI stage, small-batch validation to high-volume ramp-up, and take charge of compiling and implementing core process documents including PFMEA, control plans and mass production SOPs to ensure new products achieve stable mass production delivery smoothly.

- Closed-loop Quality Management & System Optimization. Take the lead in root cause analysis for customer complaints and trouble shootings. Coordinate resources to drive the implementation of CAPA, reducing the recurrence of similar issues and continuously refining the process quality control system.

- Global Technical Collaboration & Tool Deployment. As the core contact between the site process engineering team and the global R&D/NPI/Test team, you will oversee the local validation and deployment of new process and test systems, proactively identify system adaptability issues and drive cross-regional technical teams to complete problem resolution.

- Team Leadership & Talent Pipeline Development. Oversee the daily work and task allocation for the process engineer and technician team, build a multi-level skill training system, take the lead in cultivating core technical talents and constructing the talent pipeline, standardize on-site WIs, and lead the team to complete process improvement, technical transformation and upgrade etc,.

- Compliance & Intrinsic Safety Management. Take the lead in managing process safety and special equipment compliance for the fiber optic connector production line, regularly promote hidden hazard investigation and intrinsic safety transformation on the process side, and ensure all production operation workflows are in line with industry specifications and CommScope’s global management standards.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

- Bachelor’s degree or above, majored in Automation, Mechatronics, Optical Communication, Material Engineering or other relevant engineering fields.

- 10+ years of hands-on process-related working experience in the fiber optic connector/fiber assembly manufacturing industry, with in-depth familiarity with all production processes, rich practical accumulation of common failure modes and root cause analysis for various fiber optic connector products or similar fields.

- 5+ years of team management experience in the process engineering field, with proven track records of independently leading a technical team of 5+ members to complete special tasks such as complex process improvement, new production line setup and excellent cross-department resource coordination and project delivery capabilities.

- Proficient in data analysis tools including Excel and Minitab, capable of independently conducting in-depth mining and analysis of massive production line data, locating process bottlenecks through data and outputting systematic improvement solutions.

- Familiar with the standards in optical communication industry, proficient in problem-solving methodologies including 8D and 6 sigma, with experience leading production line yield improvement projects that generate quantifiable significant outcomes for production lines.

- Solid English communication skills in both written and spoken, capable of smoothly collaborating with global R&D teams and participating in international technical meetings and cross-regional project collaboration, also for travelling to USA/Mexico as necessary (Prefer having USA Visa)

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

- Hands-on experience in mass production process development for 800G/1.6T MPO high-density connectors and special fiber assemblies for high-speed data center applications.

- Proven track record leading automation upgrade of fiber optic connector production lines and implementation of digital process management systems.

- Candidates with Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt certification or holding core process patents in the optical communication industry will be prioritized.

- Familiar with quality management systems including ISO9001 and TL9000, with working experience leading system audit projects.
