• Serve as the central technical subject matter expert (SME) for Provide high-level technical engineering support for full spectrum of water systems: UF, coagulation/flocculation, STP/IWW treatment, RO, degasification, Mixed Bed/EDI, UV polishing loops, chemical dosing, neutralization, and water reclaim/reuse processes.
• Support advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical resolution for complex system upsets, parameter excursions, and recurring process alarms, eliminating systemic issues instead of handling routine operational tasks.
• Establish and manage system performance dashboards to track key operational metrics, drive continuous reliability improvement, and reduce recurring system deviations.
3. New Technology Study, Evaluation & Industrial Application
• Conduct industry benchmarking, technical research, and feasibility study for emerging water treatment, purification, and wastewater recycling new technologies.
• Evaluate new equipment, advanced treatment media, innovative chemical formulations, and optimized process philosophies for potential fab implementation.
• Perform technical comparison, cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and pilot study planning for new technology adoption.
• Lead trial verification, process validation, technical qualification, and full-scale deployment of proven new technologies across TI water systems.
• Drive technical iteration, process innovation, and technical upgrade roadmap to enhance system efficiency, yield, water recovery rate, and long-term sustainability.
4. Capital & Expense Project Leadership
• Lead full-lifecycle delivery of capital and expense engineering projects including system performance optimization, technical upgrades, capacity expansion, membrane/resin replacement, water system efficiency enhancement, and new technology implementation projects.
• Conduct system capacity assessment (CVD) against production ramp-up demand, provide technical recommendation for capacity upgrade and system scalability planning.
• Define standardized project scopes, technical specifications, bid packages, and construction documents to achieve consistent project quality and replicable engineering solutions across multiple sites.
• Oversee project design, procurement, construction supervision, commissioning, startup validation, and formal handover; strictly control project schedule, budget quality, risk management, and scope change control.
• Drive scalable and replicable engineering solutions that support the centralized CE operating model and benefit overall Asia site fleet performance.
• Track project outcomes, summarize technical learnings, and deliver regular progress reports to Central Engineering and regional leadership teams.
5. Automation, Data Optimization & Cross-Functional Partnership
• Partner with controls engineers to optimize PLC/SCADA monitoring logic, automated sequences, and system data dashboards for standardized performance tracking and data-driven improvement.
• Maintain strong collaborative partnership with site Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and ESHS teams to support daily factory stability without owning routine system operational duties.
• Provide technical input for performance metric setup, data analysis, and trend monitoring to support proactive system optimization.
6. ESHS & Systemic Improvement Focus
• Ensure all engineering designs, improvements, and project implementations fully comply with TI ESHS standards and code requirements.
• Identify cross-site systemic gaps, recurring failure modes, and utility bottlenecks; execute structured improvement roadmaps to elevate fleet-level reliability and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline.
•2 - 3 years hands-on engineering experience in semiconductor high-tech manufacturing, specializing in DIW/UPW, process water, industrial wastewater, and water reclaim utility systems.
