About this role
Main responsibilities and tasks:
We are seeking an experienced 8D Moderator to lead and facilitate structured problem-solving activities across the organization. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, drive effective root cause analysis, ensure robust definition of containment, corrective and preventive actions and strengthen the organization's problem-solving culture.
This role requires a strong background in Quality and/or Continues Improvement within an industrial environment, exceptional facilitation and training capabilities and the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
8D Problem-Solving Leadership:
- Moderate and facilitate 8D projects for customer complaints, internal quality issues, and supplier-related non-conformities.
- Support the case owners with 8D methodology knowledge to drive the improvement projects to timely completion.
- Challenge teams constructively to ensure fast definition of containment actions, rigorous root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
- Monitor progress of 8D investigations and escalate risks or delays as required.
- Ensure compliance with 8D methodology as per company quality requirements.
Facilitation, Training & Coachi ng:
- Moderate cross-functional workshops focused on problem-solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Train employees and leadership teams on 8D methodology and related quality tools.
- Coach problem-solving teams to improve analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
- Promote application of the problem-solving methodologies, especially 8D.
Education, Experience and Languages:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Advanced quality certifications are highly desirable (e.g., ASQ, EOQ, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, Lead Auditor).
- Proven experience leading and moderating 8D investigations in a complex industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops, training programs and cross-functional problem-solving teams.
- Track record of successfully delivering quality improvement or operational excellence projects.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality and/or Compliance functions.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience within an industrial manufacturing company
- Fluent professional English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong influencing and conflict-resolution capabilities.
Expert knowledge of:
- 8D Methodology
- Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Ishikawa/Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis)
- Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)
- FMEA
- Strong understanding of industrial quality systems and standards.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
