Job Description

Designer in the Oral Care Design Studio in Singapore - In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end graphic and packaging design—balancing creative concept development with design adaptation and production execution across our leading Oral Care brand (Oral-B). This individual contributor position requires a blend of creative excellence, design-system thinking, and technical craft to deliver compelling packaging and brand assets from concept ideation to final execution. Strong collaboration, attention to visual detail, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

##

Your Team

You will report to the Oral Care Design Director. You will work extensively with colleagues from multi-functional teams including Brand Management/Marketing, Packaging Engineering, Product Supply, Artwork Delivery, and external agency partners.

##

Key Responsibilities :

• Concept Development & Regional Relevance: As part of a leading global brand, leverage global Oral-B design guidelines and frameworks while spearheading creative ideation and visual strategy under the direction of the Design Director. Adapt and develop tailored packaging design concepts, brand identity elements, and visual communication systems specifically for Japan and Korea (JP/KR) to ensure resonant regional relevance and fulfill local market needs.

• Design Adaptation & System Rollout: Systematically translate and adapt global Oral-B master visual concepts across diverse regional product lines, variants, form factors, and packaging substrates with high visual consistency, local market appeal, and design integrity.

• Design Intent & Production Feasibility: Safeguard the global and regional design intent throughout the adaptation and execution phases. Collaborate closely with packaging engineers, regional pre-press specialists, and artwork teams to navigate local regulatory layouts, review print feasibility, material substrates, and production constraints.

• Asset Creation & File Management: Build and manage pristine, layered, and fit-for-use master design files utilizing industry-standard 2D software. Ensure all regionalized design files transition seamlessly into the artwork delivery and pre-press pipeline.

• Brand Guidelines & Stewardship: Uphold global Oral-B Brand Design Guidelines while developing and maintaining regional design matrices, toolkits, and visual standards to ensure consistent yet locally optimized brand expression across all consumer touchpoints.

##

Skills Required:

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced mastery of 2D creative tools, specifically the Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop). Strong foundation in file construction, layer management, and preparation of design assets for packaging execution.

• Design & Execution Mastery: Exceptional craft in graphic design, packaging layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy. Deep understanding of design-system thinking with the ability to scale master concepts into full multi-tier variant architectures.

• Collaboration and Influence: Ability to effectively communicate and defend design rationale to multi-functional project partners and design leadership. Disciplined project management abilities to prioritize tasks, meet project launch dates, and manage design deliverables independently.

Job Qualifications

Background and Experience:

• Understanding of the end-to-end design process, from consumer-informed concept development through to design execution and production handoff.

• Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent design initiatives in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder corporate or agency environment.

• Minimum of 2 years of professional graphic design experience, with substantial focus on FMCG/CPG packaging and brand design.

• A design portfolio demonstrating creative excellence, strong design-system thinking, brand storytelling, and high-quality 2D packaging execution is required.

##
