Financial Controller – Maternity Leave Replacement

Solitics, a cutting-edge data management and automation platform, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a maternity leave replacement. This is a broad, hands-on, and independent role within the Finance team, with responsibility for day-to-day financial operations, monthly reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and period-end closing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage payments, collections, customer invoicing, and ongoing communication with customers and vendors.

- Coordinate and maintain effective financial processes between the Finance and Customer Success teams.

- Manage the company’s corporate credit cards and related controls.

- Support selected payroll-related activities and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.

- Prepare and update the monthly budget-versus-actual analysis.

- Own the monthly book-closing process, including preparation of the consolidated financial report.

- Prepare monthly reporting to the bank and update monthly KPI files.

- Work closely with the company’s bookkeeper and oversee ongoing accounting activities.

- Prepare and close the annual reporting package and work independently with the external audit team.

Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with NetSuite – required.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA qualification is required.

- Relevant experience in a financial controller or assistant controller role, preferably in a technology company.

- Strong understanding of accounting processes, monthly close, consolidated reporting, budgeting, and cash-flow management.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented approach to internal and external stakeholders.

- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
