Membership Manager – The Cover Club (m/f/d)

As Membership Manager for The Cover Club Vienna, you are the driving force behind our community; ensuring its growth, vibrancy, and long-term sustainability. You lead acquisition, nurture meaningful relationships, create structure and consistency, and safeguard the health of the membership P&L. Together with the GM and your cross-city counterparts, you help shape a club that feels warm, inspiring, and unmistakably The Cover.

What you'll do

Grow the membership

- Recruit prospective members through partnerships, referrals and your own personal contacts, with a particular focus on Vienna's high society, art and cultural world, as well as business, founders and creatives
- Build and manage a strong pipeline, guiding prospects from first contact through tour and application, and convert applicants into paying members
- Take ownership of acquisition, revenue, renewal and retention targets, and monitor performance through reporting, forecasting and member data
- Identify and develop new audiences and communities across the city

Curate the events program

- Shape a dynamic annual calendar blending culture, art, wellbeing, business and social connection
- Guide the Membership Coordinator on concept, partnerships and execution
- Create opportunities for member-led and partner-led programming, so the community's own knowledge and networks enrich the club

Look after the member journey

- Manage applications, approvals, renewals and CRM accuracy, in partnership with the Admin Manager
- Lead onboarding and new member inductions so every member feels part of the community from day one
- Maintain relationships with existing members, gather feedback and turn it into action

Be the face of the club

- Be a visible, warm and authentic host, on the floor and in the city
- Connect members with one another based on shared interests and industries
- Represent The Cover externally through partnerships, PR collaboration and networking
- Uphold the standards and design-led atmosphere of the club

Collaborate

- Work with hotel departments (F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping, Marketing) and our teams across Europe to deliver a consistent member experience
- Be flexible with your hours: evenings and sometimes weekends are part of the role, as that is when the club comes alive

About you

- You are bright, energetic and willing to work hard, with a hands-on, proactive approach and a real sense of ownership
- You are excited by people and connecting, and you genuinely enjoy bringing communities together
- You have a sales mentality: you are comfortable approaching people, building relationships and closing, and at ease with revenue targets, budgets and reporting
- You know Vienna well, ideally as a native or through strong ties to its social scene and art world
- You care about design, beauty and atmosphere, and your taste shows in how you host and curate
- You want to build a career in hospitality or an adjacent industry
- You are flexible with hours and ready to roll up your sleeves

Requirements

- 3+ years of relevant experience in hospitality, private members' clubs, community management, partnerships, events or business development, with ownership of relationships or commercial targets

- Excellent written and spoken English and German
- Strong networking and communication skills, with the confidence to represent The Cover externally
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities
- Sound judgment and a quick, practical approach to problem-solving

Compensation & Benefits

The starting salary for this position is EUR 3,400.00 with willingness to overpay depending on your qualifications and experience.
