About this role

# Job description: Management Trainee – Founder's Office (Innovation & Product Strategy)
Company: Deconstruct (https://thedeconstruct.in/) (Baypure Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd.) Location: Bangalore, India (on-site) Department: Founder's Office Experience: 0–2 years (relevant internships count)
## Role overview
We are looking for a Management Trainee to join the Founder's Office and work on innovation and product strategy. You will help answer what Deconstruct should build next and why: finding opportunities in consumer and market data, testing them with research, building the business case, and driving priority initiatives across teams until they ship. This is a strategy and execution role. You will work closely with the founders and with Brand, R&D, NPD, Supply Chain, Finance and Regulatory teams.
## Key responsibilities

- Innovation & product strategy: Identify white spaces across categories, formats, price points and channels. Turn them into clear product opportunities and inputs for the product roadmap.
- Consumer research: Plan and run consumer research: surveys, interviews, review mining on marketplaces, and social listening. Convert findings into sharp, usable insights.
- Data analysis & insighting: Analyse sales, marketplace, search-trend and competitor data..
- Market & competitor intelligence: Track the D2C beauty landscape, global trends and competitor launches. Flag what matters and what it means for Deconstruct.
- Project management: Own founder-priority initiatives end to end. Set timelines, align cross-functional teams, track progress and remove blockers until decisions are made and projects go live.
- Founder-ready communication: Prepare crisp decks, memos and review notes that help the founders make decisions.
- Special projects: Take on other strategic projects from the Founder's Office as priorities evolve.

Qualifications & skills

Education

- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute in business, commerce or technology (e.g. MBA/PGDM, BBA, B.Com, B.Tech/BE).

Core skills

- First-principles thinking (non-negotiable): Breaks problems down to their fundamentals, questions assumptions, and builds answers from the ground up rather than copying what was done before.
- Problem solving: Structures ambiguous problems, finds root causes and lands on practical solutions.
- Basic data analysis & insighting: Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets; can move from numbers to a clear 'so what'. SQL or BI tools are a plus.
- Consumer research: Can design and run research and read consumer signals with judgement and discretion.
- Project management: Plans work, manages timelines and keeps multiple stakeholders moving.

Soft skills

- High ownership: Treats outcomes as their own and follows through without being chased.
- Bias for action: Moves fast, tests quickly and prefers progress over perfect plans.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Works well with cross-functional teams and is able to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across the org through clarity and trust.
- Interest in the category: Genuine curiosity about skincare, beauty and D2C consumer brands.
