York Hospital Microbiology Lab

Part Time (32 hours/pay period)

Evenings

Two 8-hour shifts per week, evening shift 3:00p to 11:30p

General Summary

Performs a variety of technical and general duties at an advanced skill level. Functions in one or more laboratory division. Functions independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

- Bachelor's Degree Required and

- College Diploma As part of CAP requirements, a college diploma is required provided the field of study is indicated on the diploma. Required or

- College Transcript Required

Work Experience:

- 2 years In Medical technology or a related science. Required

- 3 years In Medical technology or a related science. Preferred

Licenses:

- Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Medical Laboratory Technician - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Medical Technologist - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Specialist in Blood Banking - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Specialist in Chemistry - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Specialist in Cytometry - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Specialist in Hematology - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Specialist in Microbiology - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Specialist in Molecular Biology - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Technologist in Blood Banking - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Technologist in Chemistry - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Technologist in Cytogenetics - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Technologist in Hematology - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Technologist in Microbiology - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Technologist in Molecular Biology - ASCP Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist - AMT Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Medical Laboratory Technician - AMT Upon Hire Required or

- Certified Molecular Diagnostics Technologist - AMT Upon Hire Required or

- Medical Technologist - ABOR Upon Hire Required
