AI Development Intern (all genders)

Vienna | Part-time (up to 20 hours per week)

Your position

Join RHI   Magnesita ’ s digital innovation team as an AI   Development Intern, contributing to the design and delivery of custom AI   solutions built on the Databricks   platform. You will collaborate with senior   experts who develop and deploy advanced   AI   applications for global   operations, gaining hands-on experience with real-world use   cases that combine machine   learning, automation, and engineering excellence.

Your tasks

- Supporting senior   experts in designing and delivering custom   AI   solutions

- Developing new features and enhancing existing platform capabilities for improved efficiency and scalability

- Maintaining and improving Databricks-based   AI   solutions, including debugging, performance tuning, and refactoring

- Using AI   coding assistants (e.g.   Codex, Claude   Code) for development, deployment, and monitoring purposes

- Applying code   governance standards including version   control, code   review, documentation, and   testing

Your profile

- Current enrollment in a technical degree (Computer   Science, Data   Science, Software   Engineering, or a related   field)

- Working knowledge of SQL and Python

- Familiarity with Databricks or other   cloud   data   platforms — or strong willingness to   learn

- Interest in AI   and   machine   learning, with curiosity about applying   AI to real engineering   workflows

Languages: English – fluent

Nice to have: Experience with data   pipelines, notebooks, ETL/ELT   workflows; previous exposure to MLOps, CI/CD or   model   monitoring

Our offer

The annual gross salary for this position is €40,000.00 on a full-time basis. Since this is a part-time position, compensation will be adjusted accordingly based on the agreed working hours. We offer a competitive package based on qualifications, experience, and market values.
