Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a company seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a large industrial textile processing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving industrial machinery and facility systems to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.

Pay: $23 -  $25 DOE
Shift: 8-hour shifts starting at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM, depending on production needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and maintain industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems.
- Perform equipment start-ups, shut-downs, and routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Complete preventive maintenance (PMs), document completed work, and identify potential issues before they cause equipment downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues independently.
- Operate and monitor boilers and related equipment to ensure safe and proper performance.
- Assist with plant maintenance operations, equipment upgrades, and the implementation of maintenance programs.
- Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and general mechanical repairs as needed.
- Complete basic plumbing and HVAC maintenance when required.
- Coordinate with outside contractors during equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance projects.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company policies and applicable OSHA requirements.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as needed to support facility operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience with industrial machinery, boilers, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues independently with minimal supervision.
- Welding and cutting experience preferred.
- Basic plumbing and HVAC knowledge is a plus.
- Forklift operating experience preferred.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a strong work ethic and safe work environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for reaching, handling tools, and performing repairs.
- Ability to occasionally climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and work in confined or awkward positions.
- Ability to occasionally lift 80+ pounds.
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery and potentially hazardous substances while following all required safety procedures.
- Must be available to work an 8-hour shift beginning at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM, based on production requirements.
