About the Role:
The Account Executive is responsible for building relationships, driving revenue, and closing new business. Serving as the day-to-day point of contact for agencies and client-side decision-makers, you will effectively communicate Vevo’s value proposition across the media marketplace—with a specific focus on high-growth categories including Entertainment, Tech, CPG, and QSR.
In this role, you will position Vevo’s premium ad solutions across our flagship CTV portfolio, complemented by targeted linear TV and rapidly growing mobile/social video offerings (short-form video networks). We are looking for a proactive seller who excels at building lasting industry relationships, navigating complex media buying cycles, and delivering measurable ROI for major brand partners.

As a member of our team, you will:

- Drive Revenue & Close Deals: Proactively identify, pitch, and close new business while building long-term, high-value client and agency relationships.

- Consultative Client Partnership: Partner with brand marketers and agency teams to understand their business goals, presenting innovative video solutions across Vevo's ecosystem.

- Negotiate Win-Win Terms: Lead commercial discussions, negotiating pricing, packages, and campaign terms that maximize value for clients while achieving Vevo’s yield objectives.

- Pipeline Management & Accurate Forecasting: Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene, tracking sales activity, budgets, key milestones, and close probabilities to deliver dependable revenue forecasts.

- Territory Coverage: Travel as needed across your assigned geographic territory (typically 1–2 times per month) for client meetings, industry events, and agency roadshows.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with internal cross-functional teams (Client Services, Marketing, Programming) to oversee flawless campaign execution and drive client retention.

- Strategic Insights & Campaign Value: Deliver actionable, post-campaign analysis and market insights to help brands continuously optimize ROI and unlock new opportunities with Vevo.

This describes you:

- You have established relationships with independent/Holdco agencies and client-side teams, with a proven track record of selling digital advertising and sponsorship packages

- Proven track record in business development, specifically driving revenue by identifying new opportunities and converting relationships into results

- Ability to lead, collaborate, and work autonomously in a dynamic start-up team environment with a positive demeanor

- Problem-solving skills, specifically the ability to assess situations, evaluate options, make decisions, draw conclusions, and exercise judgment

- Ability to analyze clients’ business marketing objectives, brand or ROI goals, media buying cycles, and key metrics for success

- Proven capacity to utilize analytics to drive campaign optimization and demonstrate ROI to clients

Requirements:

- 4+ years of digital media/ad sales experience with primary focus on CTV, complemented by working knowledge of linear TV and emerging mobile/social video environments (e.g., short-form video networks).

- Established media network, with proven agency (HoldCo/independent) and direct client-side relationships; experience with major HoldCos (Dentsu, IPG, Omnicom, Publicis, or WPP) is a plus.

- Ability to prospect new business and sell scatter.

- Strong presentation & negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across written and verbal formats.

- Ad tech & analytics proficiency, including a solid understanding of viewability, data tags, and digital ad operations/trafficking tools.

- Technical fluency, including mastery of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and hands-on familiarity with Salesforce and Operative One (or similar ad management platforms).

- Strong operational skills, combining sharp organizational habits with analytical problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
