Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled API Test Automation Engineer with hands-on expertise in Karate
Framework, REST API Testing, Automation, and CSIRT/Security Testing. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for validating API functionality, performance, authentication
mechanisms, and security compliance while ensuring high-quality releases through
automation and continuous testing practices.
The role requires close collaboration with Development, DevOps, Security, and
Architecture teams to identify quality and security risks early in the SDLC and support
secure application delivery.

Key Responsibilities
API Testing & Automation
• Design, develop, and execute API test cases based on business and technical
requirements.
• Build, enhance, and maintain API automation frameworks using Karate Framework.
• Validate REST APIs, request/response payloads, status codes, headers, data
integrity, and API workflows.
• Perform API sequencing and end-to-end integration testing.
• Develop reusable automated test scripts and test data management strategies.
Security & CSIRT Testing
• Conduct CSIRT-related API security validation activities.
• Validate authentication, authorization, access control, and token management
mechanisms.
• Perform vulnerability verification and security regression testing.
• Assess API security risks and validate remediation fixes.
• Verify adherence to OWASP API security best practices.
Quality Assurance & Release Testing
• Execute SIT, E2E, Regression, UAT support, and Release Validation testing.
• Identify, log, track, and manage defects through closure.
• Analyze test execution results and prepare quality reports.
• Support release readiness assessments and production deployment validation.
CI/CD & DevOps Integration
• Integrate API automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support continuous testing initiatives.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve automated quality gates.
• Ensure test execution and reporting are aligned with Agile delivery practices.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication
• Work closely with Developers, Architects, Security Teams, and Product Owners.
• Participate in requirement reviews and test strategy discussions.
• Provide risk assessments and actionable testing insights.
• Drive quality improvements across the software delivery lifecycle.
