The Engagement

Third is looking for a U.S. based independent contractor to help build high-performing live shopping experiences from our Los Angeles studio. The Livestream Talent Producer & Host is a highly hands-on role at the intersection of on-camera hosting, talent development, casting, and show production. You’ll host live shopping streams for client brands, identify and train new host talent, and help shape the creative formats, selling strategies, and production elements that make our livestreams engaging and commercially effective.

The right person is equally comfortable performing on camera, coaching others behind the scenes, and jumping into the details required to bring a live commerce program to life. You’ll work closely with clients, Client Success, and our broader content teams to ensure every host and every stream represents the brand well and is built to drive results.

What You’ll Do

Host & Drive Livestream Performance

- Host live shopping streams for assigned client brands, representing each brand with confidence, energy, and professionalism while driving GMV and conversion.
- Step in to host across brands when coverage is needed, quickly learning new products, audiences, and campaign objectives.
- Develop fresh talking points, product demonstrations, storytelling approaches, objection-handling techniques, and audience engagement strategies.
- Brainstorm and test new livestream formats, selling techniques, interactive segments, and show flows designed to improve audience engagement and commercial performance.

Cast, Audition & Develop Host Talent

- Partner with clients and Client Success to understand brand goals, target audiences, and the qualities needed in livestream talent.
- Own host casting from outreach through screening, including creating casting calls, reviewing submissions and social profiles, conducting virtual screens, and coordinating in-studio auditions.
- Direct and record mock livestream auditions, assess on-camera presence and selling ability, and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Maintain organized talent profiles, audition materials, contact information, social links, and notes for internal and client review.
- Create polished, brand-specific host decks featuring talent profiles, bios, social links, photos, and audition content.

Train & Coach Livestream Hosts

- Train hosts on TikTok Shop Live, live-selling fundamentals, audience engagement, product demonstrations, objection handling, and conversion techniques.
- Coach hosts on product preparation, storytelling, value-based selling, and confidently selling products across a range of price points.
- Lead mock live sessions and provide real-time coaching and constructive feedback to improve confidence, on-camera presence, and performance.
- Assess host readiness and help determine when talent is prepared to move into co-hosted and independent live streams.
- Serve as an ongoing resource to hosts, helping raise the quality and consistency of talent across client programs.

Produce the Show & Creative Experience

- Collaborate with the team and hosts to refine show flow, improve production quality, and keep livestream content fresh and engaging.
- Create and coordinate livestream creative assets such as overlays, stickers, borders, promotional graphics, countdowns, and on-screen content using Canva and, when needed, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Produce promotional and preheat video content for regular streams and larger Mega Live events, partnering with the short-form video team on editing and execution.
- Stay current on live commerce trends and translate emerging best practices into new ideas for Third’s clients and talent.

Partner With Clients & Internal Teams

- Participate in brand immersion sessions to build a strong understanding of client products, positioning, audiences, and campaign goals.
- Join client check-ins to discuss livestream performance, upcoming campaigns, talent needs, and priorities.
- Work cross-functionally with Client Success and content teams to ensure talent, creative, and production are aligned before each live.

---

What We’re Looking For

- Experience hosting, producing, casting, training, or creating on-camera content; experience in livestream commerce, social commerce, retail selling, or creator-led content is strongly preferred.
- Strong on-camera presence and the ability to communicate naturally, persuasively, and confidently in a live environment.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop talent, give constructive feedback, and adapt your approach to different personalities and skill levels.
- Commercial instincts and an understanding of how storytelling, product knowledge, audience engagement, and selling techniques influence conversion.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage casting pipelines, talent materials, client needs, and live deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfort working directly with clients and translating brand goals into talent, creative, and show decisions.
- Working knowledge of Canva; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, or livestream production tools is a plus.
- Ability to work from our Los Angeles studio and support livestream schedules that may occasionally extend outside traditional business hours, including longer Mega Live events.

---

Who You Are

- You love being on camera, but you are just as energized by helping someone else become great on camera.
- You have strong creative instincts and an equally strong bias toward performance and results.
- You can read a room, a client, a host, and a live audience—and adjust quickly when something is not working.
- You are comfortable moving between performer, coach, producer, and problem-solver depending on what the moment requires.
- You are highly organized, resourceful, and calm in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- You are curious about what is next in live commerce and excited to experiment, learn, and help define best practices as the space evolves.

Why This Role Matters

Great livestream commerce depends on more than putting someone in front of a camera.

The right talent has to be found, developed, prepared, and supported by a show that is built to sell.

This role connects those pieces - helping Third build stronger hosts, stronger livestreams, and stronger results for our clients.
