About this role
The role of the Sterile Processing Tech III is to deliver onsite training for the Sterile Processing Department while working with The Sterile Processing Educator. Communicating the needs of the educator, with up-to-date training, and education within the Sterile Processing Department team is a crucial part of this role.
Sterile Processing Tech III will participate in educational activities that support personnel, partners, and its customers
Along with education responsibilities, Tech III will act as a Sterile Processing Technician.
This position requires a strong Sterile Processing background, interpersonal and communication skills, the demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently to deliver solutions on time. Strong communication with all departments is necessary.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Current professional certification with HSPA or CBSPD
- 3 to 5 years' experience working in a Sterile Processing department preferred
- Experience implementing systems in healthcare environments preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory bodies impacting Sterile Processing and Operating Rooms
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, computer systems, and software products
LICENCES REGISTRATIONS &/or CERTIFICATIONS :
Required: High School Diploma & HSPA or CBSPD Certification
Preferred: Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS)
