About this role
Position Summary
The Senior Data Product Consultant is the lead technical advisor for Nexxen's most strategic and technically complex enterprise clients. This person leads data strategy and integration conversations across pre- and post-sales: shaping how clients bring their data, identity and measurement into Nexxen, and making those integrations work at scale. They work on their own, are trusted by Sales, Account Management and Product leadership, and are the client's voice in product decisions.
As part of Nexxen's Technical Services organization, the role leads client data strategy sessions up to the CXO level and consults on Nexxen's APIs and AI/MCP tools. It also partners with Product on data product requirements and raises the bar for the team through mentorship and repeatable playbooks.
Responsibilities
Client data strategy
- Lead client-facing data strategy sessions, balancing client goals with product capabilities and limits.
- Design onboarding and integration approaches for complex accounts: 1P/CRM and CDP data, hashed email and identity partners, data-collection pixels, offline-sales and footfall measurement, and log-level data delivery.
- Act as technical lead in pre-sales for strategic opportunities: discovery, solution design, RFP/RFI responses and test design (e.g. match tests, measurement pilots), including sizing what a solution can deliver.
- Build trusted relationships with client technical and executive stakeholders, including CXO-level engagements.
- Use SQL and data analysis to investigate issues, size opportunities, and produce client and internal insights (e.g. match-backs, identity and graph analysis).
APIs, AI and integrations
- Advise clients and agencies building on Nexxen's APIs: integration design, best practices, and escalation of API defects.
- Lead technical discovery and setup for clients adopting Nexxen's AI and MCP Campaign Management tools, and turn client use cases into guidance for Sales and Product.
Escalation and product partnership
- Own resolution of complex, high-impact client issues (data discrepancies, identity and match-rate problems, ingestion and delivery failures). Lead the root-cause analysis and the communication with clients and internal leadership.
- Partner with Product to contribute to and review data product requirements. Prioritize client needs by business impact and validate new releases before they reach clients.
- Turn recurring issues into fixes: playbooks, documentation, monitoring, and changes to product or process.
Team leadership (as an individual contributor)
- Mentor peers and junior consultants; review solution designs and client-facing documents.
- Share a point of view on industry trends (identity, clean rooms, measurement, AI) that affect the products the team supports.
Required Qualifications
- IC4: 5+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering or technical account management in ad tech or data.
- Programmatic advertising experience, including how audience data, identity and measurement work across DSPs, SSPs and data partners.
- DMP or CDP experience.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience leading CXO-level client engagements and technical sessions with executive and engineering audiences.
- Experience consulting on REST APIs and data integrations (APIs, batch/file, server-to-server, pixel-based).
- Works independently on complex, unclear problems and manages competing high-priority client needs.
- Clear communicator who can turn technical detail into business impact for clients and internal leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical or quantitative field.
- Deep familiarity with identity and data-matching (hashed email, MAIDs, identity graphs, RampID/UID2) and clean rooms.
- Experience with cloud data pipelines and storage (AWS S3, Snowflake).
- Experience with AI/LLM tools or MCP in a client-facing or workflow setting.
- Experience writing product requirements or working closely with product management.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading other consultants.
