Junior Java Spring Boot & Microservices Developer

Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Java Developer with 1–3 years of hands-on experience developing backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, good problem-solving skills, and experience working in an Agile development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
- Participate in requirement analysis, design discussions, development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
- Develop unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and follow established coding and security standards.
Requirements
Required Technical Skills
- 1–3 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, including OOP concepts, Collections, Exception Handling, and Java 8+ features.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed applications.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with JUnit and Mockito for unit testing.
- Familiarity with Git, Maven, or Gradle.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and application deployment.
- Knowledge of JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, and API integration.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Apache Kafka or other messaging technologies.
- Spring Security, OAuth 2.0, and JWT.
- Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Swagger/OpenAPI, or Postman.
- Application logging and monitoring tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
