The Ruth Colvin Adult Learning Center has been established to offer flexible, learner-centered programming that supports diverse goals, including foundational skill building, English language acquisition, workforce readiness, and digital literacy. This instruction will be delivered through a mix of classes, small-group learning, and one-on-one tutoring. The Center will also provide online remote GED instruction via consistent, data-driven small group tutoring that will allow for flexible scheduling to help learners strengthen reading and math skills while progressing toward GED attainment. Beyond instruction, the Center will function as a connector—linking learners to college pathways, workforce training, community organizations, and social supports.

ProLiteracy, the nation’s largest adult literacy and basic education organization, is providing strategic guidance and capacity-building support to help establish the Center and strengthen its leadership, operations, and programming as it evolves and broadens its reach.
