Role Overview

- Lead a multidisciplinary Service of 29 faculty members and more than 175 team members, including advanced practice providers, technologists, radiology assistants, research staff, trainees, and administrative professionals, across the MSK Main Campus, David H. - Oversee approximately 20,000 minimally invasive procedures annually across inpatient and outpatient settings. Services span image-guided biopsies, venous access, drainage, tumor ablation, embolization and Y-90 radioembolization, biliary and genitourinary interventions, and advanced vascular, palliative, and supportive procedures.
- Define and execute clinical and operational priorities, including service development, access and capacity planning, staffing, budgets, resource allocation, quality and patient safety, and adoption of emerging image-guided technologies. Maintain an active clinical practice and promote consistent care across all locations.
- Build a cohesive, collaborative group-practice culture; recruit, mentor, develop, and retain faculty; foster accountability and engagement; and strengthen partnerships with MSK Disease Management Teams, referring clinicians, and other clinical services.
- Advance clinical and translational research in interventional oncology, image-guided therapies, ablation, embolization, vascular interventions, and AI/data science. Support investigator development, clinical trials, grant applications, publication, and interdisciplinary scientific collaboration.
- Strengthen education and mentorship through the ACGME-accredited Independent Interventional Radiology Residency and advanced Interventional Oncology Fellowship, preparing the next generation of clinical and academic leaders.

The Service benefits from advanced facilities, including hybrid CT/angiography suites, PET/CT-guided interventions, and the Center for Image-Guided Interventions, as well as MSK’s multidisciplinary clinical and research infrastructure.
