OpenText Content Aviator  is OpenText's AI-powered and agentic platform that brings generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) across our Information Management portfolio. It enables conversational search, content summarization, translation, intelligent automation, and task orchestration directly within OpenText applications. Beyond delivering out-of-the-box AI experiences, Content Aviator provides the foundation for building sophisticated low-code and custom agentic solutions that help customers automate complex business processes, surface actionable insights, and unlock greater value from their enterprise content and data.

Your Impact

We are seeking a visionary and technically strong  Lead Software Developer  to drive the development of cutting-edge AI-powered applications and agentic experiences. In this leadership role, you will guide a team of developers in building intelligent systems using LangChain, LangGraph, Node.js, Python, and Large Language Models (LLMs), with a focus on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and agentic workflows.

You will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of the platform, partnering closely with product management, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into innovative AI solutions. You will take ownership of key technical deliverables and help ensure successful execution through thoughtful planning, strong engineering practices, and effective collaboration.

As a hands-on technical leader, you will provide mentorship and guidance to developers, helping them grow their skills, navigate technical challenges, and deliver high-quality solutions. You will contribute to the evolution of  Content Aviator as a strategic agentic platform , enabling OpenText teams and customers to develop powerful low-code and custom agentic solutions across the OpenText product portfolio. This flagship platform will leverage advanced AI capabilities to transform how organizations manage, automate, and interact with enterprise information.

What the Role Offers:

As a  Lead Software Developer , you will:

- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of developers.
- Architect and oversee the development of AI-driven applications using LangChain and LangGraph.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and platform capabilities.
- Take ownership of key technical initiatives and deliverables, driving them from concept through deployment.
- Partner with product managers, architects, customers, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Help define and evolve the Content Aviator platform, enabling the development of low-code and custom agentic AI solutions across OpenText products.
- Design and build intelligent agents and orchestration frameworks that solve real-world business challenges at enterprise scale.
- Drive the optimization of RAG pipelines to enhance LLM performance using enterprise data sources.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate AI capabilities into production systems.
- Guide engineering teams through technical decision-making, prioritization, architecture reviews, and problem-solving.
- Champion best practices in code quality, performance, security, maintainability, and operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and accountability.
- Stay current with advancements in AI, agentic systems, LLMs, and related technologies to help shape product and engineering strategy.

What You Need to Succeed

- 7+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python.
- Hands-on experience with LangChain and LangGraph.
- Deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and RAG techniques.
- Experience integrating vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) with LLM-based applications.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives from conception through delivery.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring developers and helping teams grow their technical capabilities.
- Experience collaborating effectively with product managers, architects, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to balance hands-on development responsibilities with technical leadership and execution.

Preferred Qualifications

- Proven track record of successfully shipping AI-powered products to market.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing production-grade RAG pipelines using LangGraph, from retrieval strategy through stateful graph orchestration.
- Experience with Google Gemini, OpenAI, or open-source LLMs (e.g., Llama, Mistral).
- Experience building or deploying agentic AI systems in enterprise environments.
- Background in NLP, knowledge graphs, semantic search, or AI-powered information retrieval.
- Contributions to open-source AI/LLM projects.
- Familiarity with observability, evaluation, and monitoring tools for AI systems.
