About this role
MOTOR Information Systems is looking for a hands-on Product Marketing Manager to help customers understand the value of our automotive data, software, and technology solutions.
You’ll shape product positioning and messaging, develop go-to-market plans, coordinate launches, and create useful content and sales tools. You’ll also guide MOTOR’s content resource and help direct our paid media contractor in partnership with the Vice President of Marketing.
This is a cross-functional role for someone who can make complex products easier to understand and connect marketing work to customer needs and business results. The VP of Marketing will lead overall go-to-market strategy at first. As you build product knowledge and relationships across the business, you’ll take on more leadership of launches and go-to-market initiatives.
What you’ll bring
- At least five years of experience in product marketing, B2B marketing, solutions marketing, or a related go-to-market role.
- Experience translating complex software, data, technical products, or product releases into clear customer value.
- A track record of work in positioning, messaging, product launches, content, competitive analysis, and sales enablement.
- Strong writing, editing, presentation, analytical, and project-management skills.
- Working knowledge of digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn, Bing, or Meta, and experience guiding an agency or contractor.
- Experience applying generative AI or automation to marketing work, with appropriate validation and human oversight.
- Experience managing or coaching a content marketer, writer, agency, or other creative resource.
- The ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, influence stakeholders, and move work forward in a lean organization.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
Helpful experience
- Automotive, fleet, service and repair, parts, data, SaaS, APIs, analytics, or other technically complex B2B markets.
- Enterprise or channel sales with multiple buyers and longer decision cycles.
- Building or improving product marketing, content, launch, or enablement processes.
