About this role
Job Description:
Your Purpose & Impact at Mars
The primary purpose of this role is to reimplement and sustain the plant's continuous improvement system (TPM + Lean), eliminating losses in efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery. Rather than simply applying tools, this position exists to build organizational capability, ensuring that every leader and operator is equipped to detect, analyze, and eliminate losses independently every single day.
What are we looking for?
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Food, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Seven or more years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably within the food, beverage, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.
- Five or more years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives based on TPM and Lean, including at least one complete system implementation.
- Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Proven experience training and coaching teams at all levels, from shop floor to management, with measurable outcomes.
- Advanced English proficiency for direct interaction with corporate teams and global networks.
Desirable Requirements
- Master's degree or postgraduate studies in Operations or Quality.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- TPM certification from JIPM or an equivalent body.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Own the plant's continuous improvement roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and corporate operational excellence standards.
- Launch and govern the TPM pillar structure, including Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Planned Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Education & Training, and Early Equipment Management.
- Guide the step-by-step TPM progression through step audits and exit criteria on pilot lines, facilitating their expansion to the rest of the facility.
- Establish and sustain the daily management system on the shop floor using dashboards, shift start-up meetings, and weekly or ninety-day reviews with rigorous follow-up.
- Lead the construction of the plant's loss tree—covering OEE, downtime, speed, waste, changeovers, energy, and labor—to translate data into a prioritized project portfolio.
- Personally execute high-impact projects, such as SMED on changeovers, waste reduction, and critical equipment reliability, serving as a role model.
- Ensure the disciplined application of structured problem-solving methodologies, including Ishikawa, Five Whys, phenomenon analysis, DMAIC, A3, and Kaizen.
- Train and coach associates at all levels in Lean, TPM, and problem-solving through skills matrices and level-specific certifications.
- Guarantee that all improvements strictly comply with safety, food safety (such as GMP and HACCP), and quality standards.
