Your Role

We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale self-service Azure capabilities and platform products for internal DevOps (Development and Operations) teams.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will join the Azure Business Support Team and be instrumental in improving the developer experience -making Azure services easier, safer, and faster to consume while embedding robust security, compliance, policy, identity, networking, and governance controls.

You will collaborate with cross-functional architecture and engineering teams to deliver enterprise-scale cloud solutions, drive platform modernization through IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and automated CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) pipelines, and operate reliable, observable platform services.

Who You Are

Required Skillset

- Core Azure Services: Strong knowledge across Microsoft core Azure services, including AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), VMs (Virtual Machines), Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, Azure AD (Azure Active Directory) & IAM (Identity and Access Management), Azure SQL (Structured Query Language), and Databricks.
- Enterprise Landing Zones: Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale landing zones following Microsoft’s CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework).
- Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Hands-on experience with automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools like Terraform, ARM (Azure Resource Manager), Bicep, and PowerShell.
- Governance & Policies: Demonstrated experience configuring, managing, and enforcing Azure Policies and governance controls.
- CI/CD & Pipelines: Strong expertise in managing and building Azure Pipelines using YAML (Yet Another Markup Language).
- Platform Engineering & Self-Service: Proven ability to build self-service Azure capabilities, reusable platform products, templates, APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), and integration patterns for internal teams.
- Mindset & Collaboration: An automation-first mindset with excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate smoothly with cross-functional DevOps (Development and Operations), development, and architecture teams.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, alongside at least 7 years of experience in Azure engineering or a related field.

Preferred Skillset

- Development Experience: Prior hands-on software development or programming background to complement infrastructure automation work.
- Microsoft Certifications: Highly preferred Microsoft Azure certifications including Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-104 (Administrator), AZ-400 (DevOps Expert), and AZ-204 (Developer).
- Additional Industry Certifications: Certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) / CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
