Our development programs help support your growth, shaping your future and pushing the boundaries of innovation to unleash potential.

We are seeking a Senior Process Technician to own day-to-day operation of engineering and laboratory tools across multiple platforms. This individual will independently execute and prioritize process, metrology, and tool-monitor work, lead first-line troubleshooting and tool recovery, and partner with engineers on root-cause analysis. The role also serves as a technical resource and trainer for junior technicians, helping set the standard for safety, quality, and lab discipline.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift throughout the day. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple tasks while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.

Key Responsibilities

- Support daily laboratory operations by executing metrology measurements and data collection activities.

- Perform FOUP preparation, wafer handling, and material movement in accordance with established procedures.

- Independently run process and metrology jobs across two or more tool platforms, prioritizing work to meet engineering and customer deadlines.

- Own weekly tool monitors and health checks; review results, identify out-of-spec trends, and initiate corrective action.

- Assist engineers with experiment setup, sample preparation, and data gathering activities.

- Run post-maintenance process qualifications and monitor wafers, confirming tools meet process specifications before release to engineering use; coordinate tool-down and maintenance needs with equipment engineering.

- Track and prioritize multiple work requests from engineers and stakeholders.

- Ensure accurate documentation of completed work, tool status, and laboratory activities.

- Author and maintain procedures, work instructions, and checklists.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.

- Lead first-line troubleshooting and recovery of tool issues (e.g., wafer stops, handling faults, process alarms), escalating with clear documentation when needed.

- Collaborate with engineers on root-cause analysis and support cross-functional escalations.

- Drive continuous improvement projects that increase lab throughput, uptime, or data quality.

- Train, certify, and mentor junior technicians on tool operation, safety, and lab practices.

Required Qualifications

- Associate degree or technical certification with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a BS in a technical field with 0–1 years of experience.

- Demonstrated hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting semiconductor process or metrology equipment.

- Experience following detailed procedures and work instructions.

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

- Ability to safely handle wafers, FOUPs, and laboratory materials.

- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities across multiple engineers and projects.

- Experience training or guiding other technicians.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a semiconductor laboratory or manufacturing environment.

- Familiarity with metrology equipment and measurement techniques.

- Experience supporting engineering development activities.

- Basic understanding of process control and equipment monitoring.

- Experience working in cleanroom environments.

- Experience with vacuum systems, gas delivery, or RF/plasma (PECVD) equipment.

- Familiarity with SPC and basic data analysis (e.g., Excel or JMP).
