What this opportunity involves:
As a Technical Facilities Coordinator at JLL, you'll be at the heart of keeping our client's workplace running safely, smoothly, and efficiently every single day. You'll work closely with the Site Technical Facilities Manager to inspect mechanical and electrical equipment, monitor building management systems, and respond quickly when something needs attention. This role blends hands-on technical skill with clear communication, as you'll be the go-to person for occupants, IT teams, and vendors when facility issues arise. At JLL, we believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive, and this role is no exception—you'll have the autonomy to spot problems before they escalate, raise proactive work orders, and keep detailed records that support a culture of accountability and trust. Whether you're troubleshooting an alarm, escorting a vendor for scheduled maintenance, or supporting leadership with timely updates, you'll be part of a team that chooses the more inspiring, innovative, and optimistic path toward operational excellence.
An overview of the role:
- Inspect office spaces each morning to confirm site readiness before operational hours begin
- Conduct daily visual inspections of M&E equipment alongside the Site Technical Facilities Manager
- Monitor BMS alarms, trends, and equipment status for power, cooling, and life-safety systems, escalating abnormalities as needed
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for occupants, IT, and operations teams regarding facility impacts, access needs, and service restoration updates
- Raise proactive work orders based on inspection findings and manage reactive work orders in line with required SLAs
- Mobilize and supervise vendors for preventive maintenance and inspections, including occasional weekend or after-hours coverage (typically one Saturday per month, rotated with the Engineering team)
- Respond to M&E alarms promptly, arriving on site within two hours to manage emergencies and keep the Technical Facilities Manager updated throughout
- Maintain accurate asset records, equipment histories, and documentation, including single-line diagrams, sequences, as-builts, and O&M manuals
- Submit monthly job records and ensure clear, logged shift handovers with key areas of focus communicated to the next shift
Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for:
- Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering
- Experience working with M&E equipment such as UPS, generators, CRAC units, chillers, pumps, and ATS/STS systems
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and the ability to interpret alarms, trends, and equipment status
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance and statutory requirements
- Clear, confident communicator comfortable liaising with occupants, vendors, and leadership stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and documentation
- Prior experience in a critical environment or mission-critical facility setting
- Familiarity with CMMS/work order management platforms
- Exposure to change management processes within a regulated or client-compliance-driven environment
- Experience supervising or coordinating third-party vendors and contractors
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach to identifying and resolving facility issues before they escalate
Benefits:
- Great employee discounts off fitness, wellbeing & other renowned brands
- 18 weeks paid maternity leave
