This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can design scalable cloud solutions, build robust data platforms, and drive automation using modern DevOps and engineering cloud platform as service and engineer platform services as product

You will lead engineering teams, define technical direction, and deliver secure, high-performance, and cost-optimized cloud solutions and build production-grade GenAI and ML services on GCP . You’ll own core platform components for hybrid RAG , vector + graph data stores , multi-agent orchestration, and secure tool connectivity (including MCP-style patterns).

Enthusiast to explore new tools and perform POC to evaluate tools and build solutions

Key Responsibilities

- GCP Cloud Architecture & Modernisation : Design and deliver scalable, secure, resilient solutions on GCP; lead architecture reviews and technical decisions; drive cloud modernisation and migration.

- API-first Services for LLM Applications : Design and implement scalable, reusable API-first backend services enabling LLM/agent use cases.

- High-performance & Resilient Systems : Build low-latency, high-throughput systems with strong caching, batching, retries, idempotency, and fallback patterns.

- GCP Service Integration & Operations : Integrate and operate key GCP services (Cloud Run/GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager, Logging/Monitoring).

- Data Engineering & Analytics Platform : Build and optimise batch and real-time pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer/Airflow, and Pub/Sub; ensure governance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

- Enterprise Tool Connectivity (MCP-style) : Implement secure, standardised connectors to internal APIs/data sources with authN/authZ, rate limiting, audit logging, and policy checks; maintain a versioned tool registry/catalogue with schema compatibility guarantees.

- LLMOps/MLOps Reliability, Evaluation & Observability : Build automated evaluation harnesses (golden sets, regression, red-teaming, retrieval metrics); implement tracing across agent steps, prompt/version tracking, and cost/latency dashboards; harden with SLOs, runbooks, and safe rollouts (canary/blue-green).

- DevOps Automation & Technical Leadership : Deliver IaC with Terraform and CI/CD for cloud/data workloads; automate deployments and environment provisioning; develop Python automation/frameworks and reusable accelerators; mentor engineers, enforce standards, and collaborate with product/analytics/security to drive delivery accountability.

Required Qualifications

- Experience : 12–15+ years in IT, including 5+ years hands-on in GCP architecture, data engineering, and AI/agentic AI solutions.

- GCP & Data Platform Expertise : Strong in core GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, GCE, GCS, GKE, etc.).

- Cloud-Native Backend Engineering : Proven delivery of production microservices/APIs and distributed systems; strong foundations in async, concurrency, and performance profiling.

- Python & LLM Engineering : Strong Python (preferred for LLM/RAG); hands-on LLM integration (embeddings, tool/function calling, structured outputs, prompt/version management).

- RAG & Retrieval Systems : Delivered RAG solutions, ideally hybrid (dense + sparse) with reranking; experience with vector DBs (indexing, tuning, multi-tenancy) and embedding pipelines.

- Graph & Reasoning Data Models : Experience with graph databases and relationship modelling for retrieval/reasoning use cases.

- Agentic Workflows : Built agentic/multi-agent workflows using an orchestration framework (ADK-style or equivalent); familiarity with agentic development frameworks.

- DevOps / IaC / Security & Portability : Terraform (IaC), CI/CD, containerisation and MLOps; strong IAM/networking/cloud security; experience building cloud-agnostic solutions using open-source components.

Preferred Qualifications

- GCP Professional Cloud Architect / Data Engineer certification

- Experience in enterprise-scale cloud transformation programs

- Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost optimization
