About this role

Ecert sells online mandatory training to care homes and care groups across the UK. Care providers need staff training to stay compliant with CQC, the care-sector regulator, and we make that simple and affordable. We already have customers, a product they renew, and a market with plenty of providers still to win.

About the role

You'll spend most of your day on the phone with UK care home owners and managers. You'll find the decision-maker, understand their training needs, show them ecert and close the sale. Marketing will pass you some inbound leads to convert, but most of your pipeline will come from your own outbound calling, so you need to be able to hit target without them. The sale is short and transactional: many deals close on the first call or after one demo. If you like high call volumes and closing your own deals, this is the job.

What you'll do

- Dial every day. Make high volumes of outbound calls to UK care providers from our call lists and the lists you build, backed up by email and LinkedIn.

- Convert marketing leads fast. Call new marketing enquiries on the same day and close them. They're a bonus on top of your own pipeline, not a substitute for it.

- Run the whole sale yourself. That covers discovery, a short screen-share demo, quoting, handling objections, and closing.

- Find the decision-maker. Identify owners, registered managers and training leads at both single-site homes and multi-site groups.

- Keep the CRM accurate. Log every call and deal in CloudTalk and HubSpot, with clear notes, next steps, and a weekly forecast.

- Hand over and move on. Once a customer signs, pass them to onboarding and get back to the phones.

- Feed back what you hear. Share common objections and what's working, so the team can sharpen the pitch.

What you'll bring

- 2+ years of outbound phone sales to UK or US businesses, for example in a UK lead-gen company, a BPO sales team, or B2B telesales.

- A track record of closing deals yourself, not only booking meetings for someone else.

- Excellent spoken English, and the confidence to hold a natural, persuasive conversation with UK business owners.

- Clear, professional written English for follow-up emails and LinkedIn messages.

- Confident running a short screen-share demo, handling objections and asking for the sale.

- Comfort being on the phone most of the day, every day.

- Resilience: you can take a "no", learn from it and pick up the phone again.

- CRM discipline. Experience with HubSpot and a dialler is a plus.

- You don't need care-sector experience. We'll train you on the product, the market, and CQC.

How success is measured

- Daily calls and conversations with decision-makers

- Demos booked and held

- Conversion rate from demo to sale

- New customers closed

- Monthly revenue against target
