Job Overview:
To manage metrology and laboratory inspection activities, ensuring accurate measurement systems, First Article Inspection (FAI) compliance, and product conformance to customer and engineering requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and coordinate First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.
- Manage metrology laboratory operations and inspection plans.
- Validate dimensional layouts for new and modified components.
- Operate and support advanced inspection equipment.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of quality measuring instruments.
- Generate FAI reports and PPAP documentation where required.
- Support new product introduction and engineering change validations.
- Conduct MSA studies including GR&R.
- Support internal, customer, and certification audits.
Requirements:
- Expertise in dimensional metrology and inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of FAI, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, and PFMEA.
- Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Experience with CMM operations and programming preferred.
- Knowledge of MSA, GR&R, SPC, and calibration systems.
- Proficiency in quality documentation and report preparation.
