About this role
Job Description:
POSITION BACKGROUND
The position has a double reporting:
- To the “GC” organisation based in Toulouse for the Glocl & Functional consistency
- To the “Business Growth” organisation in Dubai for the overall consistency with the Regional strategy and for the operational management of all initiatives & projects.
GC organisation is part of the CSO organisation and is accountable for implementing the Airbus “SAF catalyst” strategy.
The Business Growth organization is part of the International organisation and is in charge to lead the “one voice’ initiatives to enhance the Presence & Impact of Airbus to enable the Business Growth in the Region.
This GC organisation is structured in three blocs
- SAF and CDR global ecosystem (GCK) : this team is in charge of building a centralized SAF & CDR Knowledge Centre, managing the definition of the SAF & CDR strategy and associated roadmap and overseeing its implementation. It also defines global advocacy and influencing efforts toward Airbus’ stakeholders and feeds regional advocacy plans.
- Business development with the SAF and CDR producers (GCS): this team is in charge of engaging with the relevant SAF producers to help them accelerate their development. In particular, the team is in charge of scouting partnership opportunities for Airbus that will have a positive impact on the SAF development space through technical collaboration, joint advocacy or direct investment..
- Support demand: this group is responsible for ensuring Airbus fulfills its commitments towards customers and develops mechanisms allowing Airbus to link SAF demand and supply. This is done in close coordination with the commercial and after sales teams of the three divisions.
This central organisation is complemented by local resources “SAF officers” in Regions whose primary responsibility is to customize the “SAF catalyst” approach to the Region into a SAF Regional Roadmap.

As such the objectives and performance assessment are jointly handled by GC and by the hosting organisation.
The position requires regional and international frequent travels.

The roadmap defines a targeted level of engagement for Regional stakeholders from the SAF ecosystem (Stakeholders are major actors from the production value chain, airline industry, and regulatory agencies). - Establish the one year detailed action plan associated with the 5 year SAF Roadmap
- Ensure the roadmap and action plan are endorsed by the Region and by GC, in particular ensure the roadmap is consistent with the region’s commercial strategy and objectives.
- Manage the engagement of all relevant stakeholders (internal between G & Region, and external)
- Proactively drive the action plan with autonomy and with a strong sense of ownership
- Track milestones with a high level of self discipline in order to ensure targeted delivery dates are either met or blockers escalated
- Monitor progress of the action plan, ask for support where needed
- Share regular updates and prepare the quarterly progress reviews with transparent visibility on the blockers
- Update relevant colleagues in the region, in particular External Affairs on the status of SAF activities to ensure a consistent approach to leverage advocacy in the region
