Your Role
As the senior leader of Medical Affairs in Taiwan, you will shape the scientific and medical strategy at country level aligning with global, regional vision and strategy that connects the portfolio to patients, healthcare professionals, and the broader healthcare ecosystem in Taiwan.
You will lead a cross-functional team and drive the end-to-end execution of the country Medical Affairs tactical plan, including post-marketing studies, real world evidence generation and medical education initiatives, ensuring activities are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard.
You will translate healthcare landscape insights across payers, patients, and access pathways into affiliate strategies, co-lead local therapeutic area and launch planning, and contribute to cross-functional leadership discussions.
You will also lead local talent development and succession planning, resolve regulatory, safety, and compliance matters at the affiliate level, and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and external experts across Taiwan.
Who You Are
- Advanced scientific or medical degree (for example, PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent experience), combined with at least 7 years of progressive pharmaceutical industry experience, with significant experience in Medical Affairs.
- Experience leading and developing teams across diverse backgrounds, with a track record of talent development and succession planning.
- Strong knowledge of the Taiwan healthcare environment, including regulatory and compliance requirements for Medical Affairs, post-marketing commitments, and Good Clinical Practice standards.
- Proven ability to translate healthcare landscape insights, including payer, patient, and market access dynamics, into affiliate strategies and tactical plans.
- Established credibility and relationship-building skills with healthcare professionals and external experts in Taiwan.
- Experience managing Medical Affairs budgets and overseeing Phase 4 studies, medical education programs, and field medical activities.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, written and spoken, with the ability to communicate clearly across scientific, clinical, and lay audiences.
- High ethical standards and sound judgment in navigating compliance, regulatory, and reputational matters
