About this role
Description
Our Program Managers are always thinking about the bigger picture. At Amazon, every position offers the chance to influence business decisions and shape what comes next. As a Senior Program Manager in EU AMXL Growth, Profitability and Programs, you will sit at the center of one of Amazon's most premium selection businesses: the operation that moves, delivers, assembles, and installs the largest and most valuable items customers buy. You will own programs that span the entire value chain, from fulfilment and middle mile through last mile, delivery, returns, and the profitability engine that ties it all together.
This is the strategic arm of the EU AMXL Strategy Execution team. You will be the connective tissue that keeps a fast-scaling, multi-country organization coordinated, accountable, and aligned on what matters. You will build and run the operating infrastructure that lets EU AMXL leadership deliver critical programs, track progress, and make high-quality decisions with confidence, and you will personally lead the high-stakes programs that define the three-year path for the business.
You will captain the strategic leadership reviews that steer the organization: Quarterly Business Reviews and the OP1 and OP2 operating plans. You will manage programs that cut across every EU AMXL function and coordinate with NA and International teams, including the country expansion portfolio that brings the AMXL service to new markets. The role carries frequent exposure to seior leaders and decison makers, so you will shape narratives, challenge content quality, and drive clarity at the most senior forums in the organization.
This is a role for someone who thrives on bringing order to complexity: designing the frameworks, cadences, and mechanisms that let a large, distributed organization move fast without losing sight of the long-term vision.
Key job responsibilities
1) Own and operate the EU AMXL planning cadence (OP1, OP2), business reviews, and reporting that keeps the organization aligned from working teams to VP forums.
2) Captain the strategic leadership reviews end to end (QBR, MBR, BMBR, OP1, OP2), coordinating content across 10+ teams to quality bar-raising and executive readiness.
3) Lead high-stakes programs spanning Fulfilment, Middle Mile, Last Mile OTR and UTR, and Returns, driving measurable improvement against the three-year profitability plan.
4) Own the country expansion portfolio: coordinate the programs that bring AMXL to new EU markets, working backwards from launch readiness across operations and finance.
5) Build the mechanisms that keep the organization on plan: trackable goals, quarterly status, year-end reviews, and governance that surfaces risk and drives resolution.
6) Design program management infrastructure (templates, trackers, SOPs) that lets EU AMXL compare initiatives, plan projects, and report results in a common language.
7) Coordinate across Supply Chain, Transportation, Finance, Safety, People, CX, and ACES, and partner with NA and International counterparts across regions.
8) Own the technology roadmap to automate EU AMXL reporting at parity with NA, replacing manual document production with scalable, self-serve mechanisms.
9) Develop program management talent: mentor and coach PMs across EU AMXL teams, and spread the standards and ways of working that make the organization stronger.
A day in the life
No two weeks look the same, because you sit at the intersection of strategy and execution for the whole EU AMXL business. One morning you are running the timeline for a VP-level Quarterly Business Review, pulling inputs from a dozen section owners across four countries and sharpening the strategic narrative before it reaches a Director. That afternoon you are deep in the profitability program, connecting a middle-mile cost initiative to its downstream effect on last-mile delivery and returns, so leadership sees one coherent story instead of six disconnected updates.
The next day you are working the country expansion portfolio: syncing with reatail, 3P, Transporation and Ops teams on launch readiness, comparing mechanisms that already work in other regions, and translating them into an EU plan. You will facilitate a pre-review with directors to pressure-test an OP2 narrative, then step back to improve the goal-tracking framework so the next quarter's updates are more actionable.
You will work shoulder to shoulder with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Safety, and CX leaders, not as a passive coordinator, but as a thought partner who understands the business well enough to challenge the content and push for clarity. Some weeks lean heavy on document production and stakeholder management. Others are about stepping back to design the systems that make the whole machine run. Across all of them, you are the person who connects fulfilment, middle mile, last mile, returns, and profitability into a single line of sight, and who keeps the organization moving in the same direction.
