- Review field and laboratory testing associated with earthworks, including density, moisture content, grading and other relevant acceptance testing.
- Verify the assessment of unsuitable, weak, organic or otherwise non-compliant materials encountered during construction.
- Support resolution of geotechnical issues and unexpected ground conditions (with reachback to senior geotechnical engineers where necessary).
- Review contractor method statements, inspection and test plans, technical submittals and construction records from a geotechnical perspective.
- Participate in inspections and construction quality assurance activities.
- Maintain clear and accurate site records, including observations, photographs and any related inspection records.

Candidate Profile
- The position is particularly suited to an engineer who combines a sound understanding of geotechnical engineering with a strong interest in construction and site delivery.
- The successful candidate should be comfortable spending significant time in the field, observing construction activities and providing oversight to works and acting as a review function.
- The candidate will form part of an expanding multidisciplinary site team, noting that an extensive reach back to Office based geotechnical support is planned throughout the site period.
