At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.
We're looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner who enjoys turning financial data into business decisions. This is an opportunity for someone who is naturally curious, challenges existing ways of working and thrives on improving processes, simplifying complexity, and influencing outcomes.
You'll work closely with operational and senior leaders, providing insight that drives performance while helping build robust, scalable finance processes that support bottom line growth.
How You'll Contribute
In this role, you will:
- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insight that supports better and faster business decisions
- Present financial performance, risks and opportunities in a concise and engaging manner, influencing decision-making across operational and leadership teams
- Track KPI's and business performance versus expectations, translating complex financial and operational data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, developing clear processes, controls and decision frameworks that enable consistent execution
- Challenge existing processes and help design more efficient end-to-end ways of working that reduce manual effort, ambiguity and non-value-adding activity
- Support the development of reporting and analytical tools that improve visibility and decision intelligence across the business
- Ensure strong financial governance and controls are maintained while balancing commercial agility and operational effectiveness
What You'll Bring
To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and expertise/ talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes
Essential:
- Qualified or finalist accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
- Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or Commercial Finance role
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights that drive business decisions
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets to identify trends and opportunities
- Demonstrated experience improving processes, removing inefficiencies, and driving continuous improvement
- Ability to build strong relationships and challenge constructively across all levels of the organisation
Desirable:
- Previous working experience of SAP
