Job Summary

The Client Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Product Manager – Capabilities & Intelligence will lead the execution of KeyBank’s CIAM strategy through ownership of the capabilities, intelligence services, and fraud-detection tools that support authentication across client channels.

This role is responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of KeyBank’s authentication intelligence ecosystem by serving as the product owner and subject matter expert for CIAM capabilities including device intelligence, behavioral analytics, session monitoring, fraud telemetry, and authentication intelligence tooling.

The individual will partner closely with Fraud, Security, Data & Analytics, Technology, and channel-aligned Product Managers to continuously improve fraud detection effectiveness, reduce unnecessary authentication friction, and deliver data-driven insights that inform CIAM roadmap decisions.

This role serves as the bridge between authentication, fraud, and analytics by translating evolving attack patterns and intelligence signals into actionable authentication controls and measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Execute the CIAM Program & Standards

·         Execute the CIAM program and standards through the implementation and optimization of authentication intelligence capabilities.

·         Support annual review and attestation of CIAM capabilities as required to maintain compliance with the CIAM program and standard.

·         Ensure CIAM capabilities remain aligned with enterprise fraud, security, risk, and client-experience objectives.

Own Authentication Intelligence & Fraud-Detection Capabilities

·         Serve as product owner and subject matter expert for device intelligence, behavioral analytics, session monitoring, fraud telemetry, and risk-based authentication controls.

·         Develop and maintain the capability roadmap for CIAM tools and supporting services.

·         Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve fraud detection, authentication confidence, and client experience.

·         Define clear business outcomes, requirements, and acceptance criteria for new or enhanced capabilities.

Own CIAM Tool Effectiveness & Optimization

·         Serve as the primary subject matter expert for CIAM intelligence platforms, including LexisNexis

, Memcyco, NuDetect during transition, and future fraud and intelligence capabilities.

·         Lead tuning and optimization of detection models, risk policies, signal utilization, and decisioning thresholds.

·         Measure and improve detection coverage while reducing false positives and unnecessary client friction.

·         Establish an ongoing operating rhythm for platform health, policy review, tuning, testing, and performance validation.

Partner with Fraud & Security Teams

·         Analyze account takeover, phishing, impersonation, social engineering, and emerging fraud trends.

·         Partner with Fraud Operations, Fraud Strategy, Cyber Defense, and Security teams to understand attack patterns and control effectiveness.

·         Translate fraud intelligence into detection policies, authentication controls, enhanced signal use, and orchestration recommendations.

·         Support post-event analysis to determine whether relevant signals were available, whether policies performed as intended, and where control gaps remain.

Authentication Metrics, Reporting & Insights

·         Partner with CIAM leadership to define and maintain authentication performance metrics that measure security effectiveness, client friction, adoption, reliability, and operational performance.

·         Work with Data & Analytics, Technology, and platform teams to establish data requirements, collection methods, reporting pipelines, and consumable dashboards.

·         Analyze trends and generate actionable insights regarding fraud outcomes, authentication effectiveness, client experience, and adoption of stronger authentication methods.

·         Use metrics and insights to recommend roadmap priorities, control improvements, and investment decisions.

Intelligence & Data Utilization

·         Drive the operational use of intelligence generated by CIAM platforms.

·         Develop use cases leveraging device correlation, identity correlation, link analysis, threat intelligence, and authentication telemetry.

·         Partner with Fraud, Cyber Defense, and data teams to improve visibility into potentially malicious devices, infrastructure, sessions, and attack patterns.

·         Help ensure relevant data is accessible, understandable, and suitable for investigation, trend analysis, and decision support.

Vendor Partnership & Capability Planning

·         Act as the day-to-day product subject matter expert for CIAM capability vendors while CIAM leadership retains overall vendor relationship ownership.

·         Maintain awareness of product roadmaps, emerging capabilities, model enhancements, and planned releases.

·         Translate vendor capabilities into internal use cases, adoption plans, and measurable outcomes.

·         Partner with CIAM leadership on product evaluations, roadmap alignment, and strategic planning.

Integration with Authentication Orchestration

·         Ensure CIAM intelligence signals are effectively integrated into authentication flows and real-time decisioning.

·         Partner with the Transmit squad and channel Product Managers to translate intelligence into actionable responses such as allow, monitor, step-up, restrict, or block.

·         Bring capability and intelligence demand through the CIAM Product Council for prioritization before work enters the Transmit backlog.

·         Support reusable, cross-channel patterns rather than channel-specific one-off implementations whenever practical.

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.

·         5+ years of experience in product management, identity and access management, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, digital identity, analytics, or a related discipline.

·         Experience working with authentication technologies, fraud-detection solutions, identity intelligence platforms, or risk-decisioning capabilities.

·         Strong understanding of authentication, identity verification, account takeover prevention, risk-based authentication, and fraud-detection concepts.

·         Experience translating business, fraud, and security objectives into product requirements and measurable outcomes.

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

·         Ability to influence teams and drive outcomes without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Experience with fraud-detection or authentication-intelligence solutions such as LexisNexis ThreatMetrix, BioCatch, iovation, Memcyco, or comparable platforms.

·         Experience tuning fraud policies, thresholds, rules, or detection models and evaluating false-positive and false-negative tradeoffs.

·         Experience with authentication metrics, data analytics, dashboarding, link analysis, and performance measurement.

·         Familiarity with authentication orchestration and Agile product delivery.

·         Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment.

·         Knowledge of digital banking, commercial banking, branch, and contact-center authentication patterns.

Success Profile

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, technically informed product leader who combines fraud, identity, and data-driven decision-making to improve authentication outcomes across the enterprise.

This individual is equally comfortable reviewing attack patterns, tuning detection policies, analyzing authentication metrics, engaging with vendors, and partnering with technology teams to ensure capabilities deliver measurable value.
