About this role
Do you want to have a significant impact on how work is done at Apple? Radar is used by
every major organization across Apple to help teams organize and track their work. As
Apple’s primary tool for defining, tracking, and testing issues, Radar has been used for
decades across various teams, including hardware and software engineering. It serves as a
unified platform for bug tracking, test case management, and product management, facilitat-
ing seamless coordination among team members. The Radar Engineering team at Apple
seeks an early-career Quality Engineer to build the tools that raise the quality of Radar’s apps
and platform.
As a Quality Engineer for Radar, you will be a software engineer who builds the tools that
make Apple’s platform for product development, bug tracking, and work management better
with every release. Radar is a high-traffic, business-critical system used by teams across all of
Apple, and the quality of each release is felt by engineers company-wide.
You will join a growing team distributed across California, Texas, and Ireland. In our highly
collaborative environment, you will work closely with a team of passionate builders to deliver
end-to-end features critical to Apple’s engineering workflows. You will receive structured
mentorship, comprehensive training in Apple’s development practices, and the support to
learn and develop your skills quickly.
You will design and build tools, frameworks, and services that improve the quality of Radar’s
apps and platform, and write the tests that prove it. You will find and fix the gaps that let
bugs through, and learn how a platform at this scale remains stable while constantly
evolving. As you ramp up, you will take on increasing ownership of quality tooling, contribute
to test strategy, and help bring new technologies onto the platform.
