Ignite Digital is seeking a highly skilled Application Developer to support a U.S. Navy program in the Norfolk, VA area. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience developing secure, scalable, and modern applications that integrate data across multiple systems both on-premises and in cloud environments. This role requires working closely with Navy stakeholders to design, develop, deploy, and sustain custom applications aligned to mission objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain custom applications and mission-focused digital solutions.
- Build robust web applications, including intuitive front-end interfaces and secure, efficient back-end services.
- Integrate data from internal and external sources to ensure end-to-end functionality and high-performance operations.
- Implement artificial intelligence capabilities leveraging Microsoft’s AI ecosystem, including Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI Service, and Azure Machine Learning.
- Develop automation and low-code/no-code solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Support full Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), including source control, pipelines, environments, and solution-based deployments.
- Build and maintain custom components using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Apps Component Framework, and advanced Power BI modeling.
- Deploy and manage solutions across both Azure Cloud and on-premises Windows Server environments.
- Utilize virtualization technologies (VMWare or Hyper‑V) for system hosting and development environments.
- Manage enterprise databases using Microsoft SQL Server, including T‑SQL development, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Leverage Azure DevOps and Visual Studio to manage work items, repositories, builds, releases, and development workflows.
- Create automation scripts and tools using PowerShell to support CI/CD, system configuration, migration, and administrative tasks.

- Visual Studio for application development
- Strong understanding of ALM frameworks, solution deployments, and environment strategies
Additional Required Experience:
- Custom development using SPFx
- Secure coding practices, especially in support of DoD environments
- Ability to work within Agile or DevSecOps workflows
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Statistics, Design, or a related field.
- Relevant technical certifications (Azure, Power Platform, AI/ML, SQL) highly preferred.
Security Clearance:
- Active DoW SECRET clearance required.
Salary: $120k+ to align with education and experience.
