After completion of the six-month training period, monthly training meetings will be conducted by the supervising nutritionist for skills update.

Evaluation of competency is measured by rating the nutrition assistant's ability to meet performance objectives outlined on checklists for each module. Post tests rate ability to meet knowledge objectives. A passing score of 85% or better is required for the post-tests and comprehensive evaluation. Nutrition assistants must meet the performance objectives listed for each module in the Module Evaluation Guide by the end of the six months training. The supervising nutritionist will complete progress evaluations monthly during the training.
