The Role

ThredUp is turning secondhand browsing into a live, shoppable experience. Buyers watch a real person pull real inventory in real time, and we’re building ThredUp Live from the ground up. As a Production Assistant, you’re the hands-on team that makes every show run. Working inside our distribution center, you’ll reserve and stage the inventory, set up the studio, and run the auctions and chat while we’re live. After each show, you’ll hand items back to the DC team for reinduction. You’ll report to the Live Selling and Social Commerce Manager, who sets the strategy, show plan, and direction for the program. You’ll be the steady on-site presence that makes it happen day after day. This is a full-time, on-site role on our PM shift, and it’s a chance to help build a new business line from the start.

In This Role You’ll Get To

- Reserve and stage inventory for each day’s shows, working from the show plan provided by the Live Selling Manager
- Prep the live studio before the first show and reset it between shows so every show starts clean and on time
- Run the auctions during each live show, keeping bidding moving and the pace on track
- Monitor the chat throughout the show, answer viewer questions, and flag requests to the host
- Partner with Live Sellers Hosts and the Live Selling and Social Commerce Manager on show-day decisions, and run show operations on your own on days when the Manager isn’t on-site
- Notify the DC team after every show so items are ready for reinduction
- Track what sold fast, what didn’t, and what viewers asked for, and share it with the Live Selling Manager to help shape the next show
- Flag technical, inventory, or workflow issues quickly so the team can fix them and improve how shows run

What We’re Looking For

- Comfortable and focused through 3-hour live shows, with sustained attention the whole time
- Quick on your feet: you can multitask, handle a fast-moving chat, and stay calm in a live environment
- Strong attention to detail when reserving, staging, and tracking items
- Comfortable in a warehouse environment: on your feet, handling inventory, and moving at a fast pace
- Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new tools, including live selling platforms and chat moderation
- Able to work in ambiguity and adapt as we build a new program and the process evolves
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with Hosts, the Live Selling and Social Commerce Manager, and the DC team
- An interest in fashion, secondhand, and sustainability
- Experience in a distribution center, fulfillment, or inventory environment, or with live selling platforms such as Whatnot or other platforms is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in keeping business, team and customer information confidential
- Role models independent judgment and operates with minimal supervision
- Experience giving and receiving constructive feedback and proactively following-up with team members, peers, and leaders
- Able to stand or walk for an entire shift (8-12 hours per day) as well as bend down, reach overhead, lift/carry up to 30lbs and push/pull wheeled clothing racks weighing up to 150lbs

Schedule

- Full-time, on-site at ThredUp’s distribution centers in the Atlanta area (Suwanee, GA)
- PM shift: covering the later show(s) of the day
- A short overlap between shifts for handoff
- Shows run 5-6 days per week, scheduled around peak viewer traffic, so a rotating schedule is required
