“I can succeed as a Program Manager at Capital Group.”

As a Program Manager in AFSG’s Strategic Delivery Office (SDO), you will lead AFSG’s broad data programs from the business side. You will partner with the Enterprise Change Office (ECO), the Enterprise Data Office (EDO), AFSG Technology and the AFSG business areas. Together you will turn enterprise and technology initiatives into clear plans, timely decisions and well-supported transitions for the people who depend on AFSG data every day.

This role calls for strong traditional program management, plus enough data and reporting fluency to ask the right questions. You will set up the plans, governance and cadence for several workstreams at once, and lead mostly through influence across teams you don’t manage. Success means business outcomes delivered and users productive, not just tasks closed.

“I am the person Capital Group is looking for.”

·        You have 10+ years of project or program management experience, including independently leading large, multi-team business and technology initiatives to completion.

·    Have 4+ years managing people, fostering growth and development and aligning direct reports to program objectives.

·        You have led data, analytics or reporting programs such as platform migrations, modernization efforts or data product rollouts, and you understand what it takes to bring the business along, not just deliver the technology.

·        You are fluent in traditional program planning: integrated plans, milestones, critical path, dependency maps, RAID logs, decision logs and readiness gates. You are also comfortable working alongside agile engineering teams and their backlogs.

·        You understand how analytical reporting depends on the data underneath it. You can follow a report back to its sources and explain the difference between operational and analytical data and communicate impact to end users.

·        You turn complex inventories and open questions into decisions, each with a named owner and a date.

·        You have built and run change management, communication and readiness plans for changes that affect many business users.

·        You can influence senior and executive leaders, and you work just as well with analysts, report developers and engineers.

·        You see risks and dependencies early and present them with options and a recommendation, not just a status color.

·        You are a clear, authentic communicator who can explain technical trade-offs in business terms.

·        You have asset management or financial services experience (preferred).

·        You have worked in or have experience with a service organization, such as a contact center, transfer agency, recordkeeping or shared services operation, and you are familiar with how change can affect service levels, the client experience and the associates who serve clients every day. (preferred)
