Machinist / Millwright

Basic Function

HF Sinclair in Anacortes, WA is seeking a Machinist / Millwright. This position’s primary duties include: troubleshooting, testing, repairing of existing installations and maintaining all Refinery Equipment

Job Duties

(Functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

- Perform all job tasks with safety and respect for the environment as the number one priority.

- Perform job tasks in a motivated, self-directed fashion independently or as part of a team.

- Perform a variety of maintenance and repair activities which may involve mechanical, structural, or rotating equipment support in a Refinery & Cogen Facility including:

Make new parts from prints, sketches or damaged parts

- Bearing installation,

- Alignment using laser alignment tool

- Rigging

- Preventative maintenance inspections,

- Field assembly, and repair all Refinery equipment Pumps, Compressors, Turbines, Fans, Motors

- In-shop rebuilds of rotating assemblies.

- Use a variety of both small and large hand and power tools, overhead cranes, hoists, man-lifts, forklifts, and related tools and moving equipment.

- Communicate to operations, and supervision verbally and in writing details regarding job tasks.

- Use CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) to document job details Receive training on or off site to be qualified to perform successfully.

- Be willing to train other personnel in any Machinists/ Millwright Tasks

- Read and comprehend drawings to troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment and systems

- Participate in meetings and training activities

- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of Maintenance / Millwright or Machinist.

Education Level

High School Diploma or GED required.

Required Skills

Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. Willingness to work at heights, walk on high elevation grating and to walk up and down stairs. Willingness to work in confined spaces. Must be able to speak, read and write English. Reside within 60 miles of the site, or relocate without assistance to within 60 miles. Willingness to work outside in inclement weather. Must be willing to use safe lifting techniques to lift 50 pounds from the ground to waist level. Must be comfortable using computers in a work environment. Willingness to support HF Sinclair's policy of a drug-free work environment.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Work Conditions

Field based. Petroleum refinery, out-of-doors environment, and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, exposure to the risk of electrical shock, and working in confined spaces. Subject to all temperatures.

## Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 70lbs, climbing up to 50ft, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid state drivers licenses and proof of insurance required, perceiving color differences, wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and strenuous physical activity.

Salary Range: The salary range includes the minimum, midpoint, and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.

This position has a hourly minimum of $46.13 and maximum of $54.13 per hour.
