We're looking for a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving infrastructure, and helping drive technology forward. In this role, you'll support and enhance our cloud, server, network, and security environments while serving as a key technical resource for the organization. You'll have the opportunity to work on impactful projects, influence technology decisions, and help build a scalable, secure infrastructure that supports our continued growth. This is a staffed, salary, exempt position.

A day in the life as a Wood Rodgers' Senior Systems Engineer

No two days will look exactly the same, but some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Design, implement, and support infrastructure across Azure, Windows Server, networking, virtualization, storage, and backup systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple technologies.
- Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
- Help strengthen cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts.
- Lead and contribute to infrastructure projects, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
- Create documentation, share knowledge, and mentor team members.

Qualifications & Skills

You're likely a great fit if you have:
- 7+ years of systems engineering or infrastructure experience.
- Strong Microsoft server, cloud, and networking expertise.
- Experience with Azure, virtualization, enterprise networking, and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance day-to-day operational support with strategic technology improvements.
We're especially interested in candidates who have worked with technologies such as:
- Workspot or VDI environments
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- VMware
- Veeam
- VeloCloud SD-WAN
- Panzura
- AEC industry experience
- Relevant Microsoft, Azure, networking, or security certifications
