THE JOB:

As a Gourmet Food Runner at Yellowtail inside the Bellagio , you will be part of a world-class dining destination known for its innovative dishes inspired by both traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine. Representing the premier standards of MGM Resorts' culinary excellence, you will play a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences by delivering orders with precision and professionalism, maintaining impeccable table presentations, and anticipating guests' needs. Working both front-of-house and behind the scenes, you will support the service team, uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, execute essential side duties, and help ensure a seamless dining experience that exceeds expectations.

THE STARTING RATE: $14.85 Hourly + Tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

- Welcome guests with a warm and relevant greeting, utilize your knowledge of menu, guest preference, service and selling techniques to guide selections
- Knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, preparation method and time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation
- Be familiar with all hotel services, features and local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Maintain table cleanliness and utilize a silent service approach
- Itemize bill correctly and efficiently secure payment
- Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
- Work as a team, assist guest and employee needs and inquiries
- Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required
- Perform other job-related duties as requested

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

- 21+ years of age or older
- 4+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience (Working in a similar gourmet restaurant) preferred
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
- Prior work experience in Japanese cuisine
- Previously worked in a fast-paced high-volume restaurant
- Positive mindset and the ability to adapt to change
- Passionate about hospitality and eager to learn and grow within a fine dining environment
