About this role
Under direct supervision of the NICU nurse manager, assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge procedures. Provide for the patient and family’s personal hygiene, safety and comfort needs. Provide clerical and clinical support to meet the daily operational needs of the NICU.
Salary Range: $33.06 - $33.06 hourly
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
- Recent clerical and/or clinical experience in a NICU, Mother/Baby or Acute Care Pediatrics environment preferred
- Ability to pass an 8 hour computer data entry training course
- Ability to perform all physical requirements pertaining to delegated nursing, PT/OT, and RT assisted tasks
- Understanding of basic medical terminology and abbreviations, preferred
- Recent ward clerk and/or appropriate clerical experience in an acute hospital environment, preferred
- Skill in evaluating and reporting various kinds of emergent information pertinent to the functioning of an inpatient care unit
