MANTECH seeks a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

The Software Developer I will work as part of a dynamic development team, focusing on writing efficient and maintainable code, collaborating with other developers, and contributing to the development of web applications, backend services, and automation workflows. This role provides opportunities for career growth, mentoring, and hands-on experience with modern software development tools. The successful candidate will primarily use Python for backend development while gaining exposure to front-end technologies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Assisting in the design, engineering, analysis, and development of software systems.

· Assisting in designing, analyzing, and developing Software Delivery processes, including DevOps pipelines.

· Participating in Software Development and Deployment processes.

· Functioning in a junior role in all aspects of IT application development.

· Taking direction from more senior personnel.

· Collaborating and working with other Software Developer Is.

· Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Python for backend services and web application logic.

· Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating them with front-end systems.

· Working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create responsive, interactive web applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 2+ years of relevant experience in software development (internships or academic projects are also considered).

· Proficiency in Python, including writing scripts and backend applications.

· Experience with Git for source control and collaboration.

· Some understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

· Knowledge of SQL and experience with basic relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Familiarity with TypeScript for enhancing JavaScript applications.

· Experience building React components and managing state.

· Experience in containerizing applications using Docker.

· Exposure to Ansible for automating server configurations and deployments.

· Basic experience in Linux system administration.

Clearance Requirements:

· Must have an active TS/SCI

· Must have or be willing to successfully complete CI poly

· US Citizen is required

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

· Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.

The projected compensation range for this position is $91,600.00-$153,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
