Lead the BGM Subsystem Engineering team responsible for subsystem architecture and integration, servo-control algorithms, requirements, verification and validation, structured problem solving, technical project execution, and lifecycle stewardship for complex radiation therapy products. This role provides cross-functional technical leadership across engineering, manufacturing, quality, service, supply chain, and external suppliers within a regulated product-development environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage the Subsystem Engineering team within our Beam Generation & Monitoring (BGM) Group. The team serves as the technical integrator for the Radiation Producing subsystem and is responsible for subsystem architecture, servo-control algorithms, requirements and specifications management, verification, technical problem resolution, project execution, and lifecycle stewardship. It also provides the primary integration interface among product groups, functional engineering teams, manufacturing, quality, service, and supply chain organizations.
The successful candidate will combine strong engineering expertise with a demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, coordinate cross-functional activities, and drive execution in a complex product environment. The role requires broad knowledge of servo-control algorithms, microwave engineering, radiation physics, high-voltage pulsed-power engineering, thermal and materials science, and general electrical and mechanical design principles. This knowledge must be supported by hands-on experience in system-level design, troubleshooting, and structured problem solving. Experience delivering products in a regulated environment and familiarity with product lifecycle management are also required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s or doctoral degree in systems engineering, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least five years of people-management and leadership experience.
- At least eight years of engineering experience developing complex technical systems.
- Strong background in systems engineering, subsystem integration, and product development.
- Experience with medical devices, radiation therapy systems, accelerators, high-voltage systems, industrial equipment, or other regulated products.
